So emotionally drained, trapped in the passion
of fresh challenges and new techniques, the
tension of exploring financial alternatives, the
nervousness in confronting your anger when
explaining problems caused by language you
used when I made mistakes
Counted my many blessings in bed, felt better
but couldn’t sleep, arose, switched on TV –
the film ‘Insidious’ - a mansion full of strange
events, a psychic telling the family of a place
for tortured souls - oh dear, there goes my list
of many blessings
Or maybe the list has just grown longer as
life is enriched by imaginings of spectres
and things that have to be conquered
through dreams of beauty and love…
