The Ice Queen ran off, blue accoutrements
left at work, clad in pink like a mischievous
sprite she bought mama a soft throw and to
top it off, pink basket and dishcloth, working
on a pink colour scheme for mama’s room in
the Home - to be handed over tomorrow
Together with the lacy blouse in white she
found for mama yesterday - when she also
bought a lilac knitted top which turns her
into a frozen version of herself; swimming
in her fantasy flow makes the world more
interesting and there is no good reason to
Stop doing so, especially since the dream
of a free country kept Mandela’s spirit so
strong while he was held on l’île Robbin
for so many years: Dreams are valuable
and keep hope alive…
