Just watched the penultimate episode of
“Pushing Daisies” – the Pie-Maker, the hero,
is not allowed to touch his heart’s love
because if he does she’ll die – so he longs
with his eyes and smiles with a sigh – and
that is how it is with you and me;
we cannot touch although we cyberlove so
much – but we can experience the joy of
sharing adventures and thinking up challenges
the biggest challenge is posed by the work
the crocodile must do, reading through
documents and rendering them true
in another language; writing notes about
its reptilian existence all day long – whether
it was painful or as bright as a song –
but the Ice Princess is doing her best to keep
the show on the road while dreaming about
Crystalline, the Prince so fine that came
from the King of the North – we cannot touch,
but we mean so much to each other, we shall
visit other life forms in other parts
of the multiverse and save Violetta from herself,
give Juliette to her Romeo and have Rhett Butler
kissing Scarlet O’Hara forever and a day –
I cherish that you touch me with your mind, that
in your thoughts I find a mystery and a beauty, a
longing and a duty, that speaks of
nobility in love…
