Wings (Rev)

With poetical insight I looked at the life
you called Blight - & realised Pegasus
weighed you down; it was because you
carried his weight along with your own,
instead of mounting, flying free to soar
and roam in your own right

I pointed it out - showed the enormous
wingspan there was - which you didn’t
see with a physical eye; you refused to
believe, so I flew up - and when others
targeted me you were shocked, & flew
suddenly to the rescue, & then in your

Delight turned a somersault - falling off
your magical steed just to discover your
very own wings on which you now soar -
you’ve never stopped to look back - it is
because you’re sure you are free…
