Soul Turning Inside Out

Slowly the day unfolding in
concentric, many-dimensional
lines turning upon themselves
spiralling into nuanced shades
of meaning

running about talking, filling
in forms, till I try to find myself
in quiet contemplation, my
frayed spirit

Needs to re-orientate itself
electro-magnetic vibrations
must recover the space that
used to be mine before we
went off on holiday…

Savouring Mystery in Mystagogy

I am a Mystagogue, I am so glad to have
discovered my niche in life! And I have
been a mystagogue since I was small,
experience has always been more
important to me than rational,
scientific analysis and
theoretical concepts.

On p. 146 David Regan says mystagogy entails
we do not learn cold, abstract truths, but find
a burning core to be experienced – and this
describes the way I enjoyed my studies at
university perfectly, and why teaching as
rational, abstract analysis and imparting
knowledge made me fall ill.

I experienced epiphany when Sir Gawain and
the Green Knight was read to us in English
class and when Frau Professor Stielau did
language development from Altdeutsch
to modern Hochdeutsch by explaining
how the sounds of p,t,k changed into
other consonants.

And I could not share this with anybody, all my
fellow students laughed at me when I tried to
explain how I felt - a wild elation studying
philosophy, discovering Sartre’s existen-
tialism described my own lost condition
perfectly and was preceded by the
same thing in the Psalms.

I LOVED writing my weekly journal in French and
felt the highest exaltation in singing Latin chants
in the choir at university – but could not identify
with any of the students who did not share
or understand any of my passions, my
alienation was complete.

On p.142 David Regan says the spirit has been
banished from the church for a thousand years
and only artists, poets, musicians, dramatists
offered the prophetic service of exhortation –
now I understand why no true artist remains
a member of orthodox liturgy and church;
it is impossible to breathe where feeling
has been outlawed!

On p.144 David Regan says mystagogy allows one
to savour mystery in HOLISTIC fashion and my
mentor called my own approach HOLISTIC;
therefore, before I knew the term with
which to describe my attitude, I was
applying mystagogy – no wonder I
did so badly in pedagogy, it is
anathema to me!

Find Such Fun

When things are going well, I forget man-
kind’s sufferings, but then we race through
the land in hubby’s big new car, eating junk
so that I grab the hymnbook to find refuge
against the arrows of allergic evil

Start reading Psalm 38 as rhymed in Afrikaans
by a Revisionist Commission in 1936 and find
such fun in the sufferings of a fellow allergy-
sufferer who seems to have a hangover also
making me laugh and thus I feel better again!

Loving: Feeling Enchanted

Loving means feeling enchanted by the way
another person’s being and essence
touch and influence you.

If a good romp is all you require to fulfill
your longing for someone, anybody will do
so go ahead and enjoy yourself. If you long
for the presence of a special person, without
thinking of doing anything, then the feeling has
value. Sex is meaningless fun and should be
treated as such. Loving someone for their
essence is so different, there is no
comparison.

Loving means perceiving a different person and
a new world as you look through the perspective
of your love. Loving means feeling like a different
person in the beloved’s presence and does not de-
mand anything in return, hoping for a reciprocal
feeling, but demanding and according
total freedom of choice.

Desire means admiration and need and requires nothing
but immediate satisfaction, gives nothing in return but
momentary, fleeting pleasure and leaves no mark,
impression or memories, no scars, pain or regret.

Loving which leads to sacrifice and hard work, leaves a
lasting impression and changes you so you are never the
same again. You become a more wonderful, richer person
once the beautiful feeling and memory of love enters and
nourishes your heart, and you allow it to sweeten your
thoughts for ever more.

Love as good old momentary fun cannot take you high or
bring you down, it is but a nice idea and can be enjoyed
without any problem or thought. If the one you had in
mind is not available, any congenial person will do.

BUT when deep love is present, your heart will be different
and you can go as high as you allow yourself to go.

Ingrained Evil, Future Suffering

Positivity is simply an acceptance of ingrained
evil and future suffering, of immorality since
we cannot, nobody has; met the standards
set by Church and the Bible’s Ten
Commandments

As Richard Wurmbrand determined, asking
fellow pastor prisoners about being faithful
in marriage to one partner; only he made
the grade, all others admitted to the guilt
of sin; still David Regan in

‘Experience The Mystery’ insists upon be-
lievers accepting God’s law reducing all
Gospel to a Theology of Revolt, the
Brazilians fighting the shackles of
poverty – yet ALL of them

Prefer free sexual morality to the strict
strictures the Catholic Church imposes
taking care of every baby born; even if
they have one every year, regardless
of ability to provide

If others, with an income, restrict the number
of babies they have to provide for them; why
should they support those who procreate
unrestrictedly, enjoying
fun all the time

While they have an ascetic life to enable
them to acquire money before entering
the scene of procreation; why should
they take care of the off-spring of
those who never sacrifice

Anything in planning the future for
themselves and whatever they
create…

Emotions And Sentiments

Thank you, David Regan
for explaining in scientific
language what relativism
and free choice entail

We are brainwashed and in-
doctrinated by hermeutics, the
language, terminology and cul-
ture; in which we are reared

Once we read, study and ex-
perience alternative language,
terms and culture; we discover
reality is simply inter-subjective
consensus on meaning assigned.

“Modern scientific mentality measures all
through controlled experience or experiment –
examine the hermeneutics of experience,
HOW knowledge is achieved

Experience is NOT passive mirroring yielding
objective knowledge, but is conditioned by
heuristic models

We KNOW with EVERYTHING we
ARE and WHAT we already know.

The answers of experience depend on
questions asked.”

to take advantage of new cultural focus
on experience by locating it in
religion

No more believing in cold blood, experience
outlawed - but sharing the same emotions
and sentiments as original religious
communities…
