A Group of International Dignitaries needed help
in attending a mother tongue & literature event -
Anastasia offered her services as Registration
Officer, Usher and Tour Guide, hoping officiating
would be a delight, that most of the academical
And cultural group would need guidance on the
content of the eleven-national-languages-policy in
Ana’s country, the mythical South Africa: Ana loves
being a tour guide - once guided French dignitaries
during an international conference in the Cape and
She loved her duty as lanyard registration officer
helping the security company in processing the
guests and allaying fears of bureaucracy, she
enjoyed the confusion of amateurs upon their
introduction to government service procedure
Ana provided guidance in social protocol, not
interpreting during speeches - thank goodness -
and once helped prepare a venue for protocol
seating arrangements, names called out, ushers
running to and fro with papers & name plates –
An activity of absolutely magical delight; and thus
Ana applied for the post of an official, ready to serve
as her motto was “life is so unnerving to a servant who
isn’t serving” – hoping the event would entail the same
kind of unforgettable, invigorating events…
