Luminous, Fragile Crystal Glass

Finished reading The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce with a

growing sense of wonder until absolute joy of the ending

exploding in a flash mob, and it was glorious, a fairy tale

spun masterfully shining in luminous, fragile crystal glass

 

The story threatened to end badly any moment, I feared

the author was aiming at a sad broken heroine losing her

loved one forever because he was hurt in his youth and

rejected her too - but using a flash mob as a device, the

 

Author gave us a wonderful scene and a new music shop

afterwards, all about vinyl, since cassettes and CD’s have

also been destroyed by modern technology - and thus a

return to old-fashioned records was logical, but the most

 

Beautiful part was the author’s descriptions of her main

characters Frank and Ilse and the rest of the Unity crew,

this book restored my faith in the goodness of humanity!
