Joyful Dance Of Being

Then I think of all the things I love, the flowers,

veld, the silhouette of trees etched against the

sky, a multitude of crocodiles, the hippos lying

in the sun, the little birds and lions marching in

a line, the laughing hyenas, the small does, the

baboons playing in their cavernous tree and the

 

Golden syrup sun turning into toffee and then into

burnished copper until it becomes burning embers

in the evening sky, the ice-cold splash of water on

my sun-warmed skin, the soft, feathery touch of a

cooling breeze, the emerald green canopy of trees

in the safari-camp, the roaring of lions in the night

 

Just enough to fill the world with fear - and a bracing

shower when I get up, a heroine wearing diamonds

in her hair, a protagonist perplexed by life and living

adventures in the imagination, thinking reality as just

perspective, a possibility & knowing personality to be

a carefully constructed creation, seeing consciousness

 

As a universal phenomenon, accepting awareness as

part of everything - seeing spirituality in water crystals,

music, melody and song, rejoice in being, in presence,

in sensory experience, in mind, in thought, in legend &

ancient mythology and modern astronomy, in diversity

of life’s offerings, in the many superstitions & thought

 

Systems created by human beings and in the infinite

possibilities of a myriad religions, in the concept of the

infinite and the wonderful continuation of electricity and

magnetism, in the unfathomable complexity of physics

and science and the wonders of mankind’s philosophies,

in the amazing variety of possibilities of quantum physics

 

And a holographic world in a Universe that is just a small

part of a Multiverse which is just a small part of the Infinite

Intelligence of Eternal Consciousness, all this in a glorious

smorgasbord catering for all kinds of tastes, inspiring and

rejuvenating, all included within the Joyful Dance of Being
